The client had requested a logo for a gravel bike ride that included a skull with horns and text. The client wanted something simple that would look good in both print advertisement and social media.

After reviewing the initial mockups, the client decided to do away with the color and the racing stripes. I worked up a simple black and white logo with text that fit the clients needs perfectly.

For this logo, the client had requested the state of California, the name of the company, and the color orange to represent the California poppy, the state flower. I did a few mock ups of slightly different shades and played with the font for “California” and “RIDE”.

The final design encompassed all of the clients ideas into one, clean, easy to read logo. The state logo can be separated from the text and still serve as an all in one logo which the client really liked for apparel and brand recognition in general.

For this project, the client had requested a custom jersey for an event ride. The client really liked topographical lines to be incorporated and a color scheme to compliment the “RIDE California” logo. I went through a few color options and patterns for the client and iterated based on their feedback.

After going through feedback and several designs, I found a color scheme and layout that complimented the logo and incorporated the elements that the client had requested.

For this jersey, the client had requested a 1980’s retro vibe. I started the session by presenting the client with a variety of designs and styles. They were able to narrow it down and provide critical feedback for the next iteration of design. A list of popular local cycling routes was also requested to be incorporated into the jersey.

After narrowing it down to two jerseys, I ended up making two designs based on the feedback and input from the client. Topographical lines were added to one of the jerseys which I felt complimented the list of local cycling routes.
